Maria Liza Tarang

Violin

Maria Liza Tarang was born in The Philippines and started playing the violin at the age of seven. At the age of ten she joined the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth. She has performed with the Manila Symphony Orchestra, Manila Chamber Orchestra and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also served as concertmaster of the National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Clarion Chamber Ensemble, the San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra. Maria Liza Tarang has represented her country at several ASEAN Music Workshops abroad. She participated in the First Pacific Music Festival under Leonard Bernstein in Sapporo, Japan and was awarded a Fellowship Grant by the Association of Japanese Orchestras which resulted in performances with several orchestras in Japan. She was also awarded a scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service which enabled her to study at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Heidelberg-Mannheim in Germany under the tutelage of Wanda Wiłkomirska. Now based in Manila, Maria Liza Tarang is a sought-after orchestra leader for both classical and pops concerts. She has been a member of City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong since 2008.

羅莉莎

小提琴

羅莉莎生於菲律賓,七歲開始學習小提琴,並在十歲時加入菲律賓青年交響樂團。成為職業樂師後,她曾與馬尼拉交響及室樂團、菲律賓愛樂樂團演出,又擔任菲律賓的國家愛樂樂團、歌樂室樂團、生力啤酒愛樂樂團及馬尼拉愛樂樂團團長。羅莉莎曾代表菲律賓參與東南亞國家聯盟音樂工作坊,亦曾參與由伯恩斯坦於日本扎幌創立的首屆太平洋音樂節,更獲日本樂團協會院士奬學金,與日本多個樂團演出。她曾獲德國學術交流署奬學金,到德國海德堡-曼海姆國家音樂學院師從名師韋高米斯卡。羅莉莎現居於馬尼拉,經常擔任古典及流行樂團的樂團領奏。她於 2008 年加入香港城市室樂團。
