Leading Czech oboe virtuoso Vilém Veverka has significantly advanced the repertoire and technical limits of his instrument. He is a professor of oboe at the University of Ostrava. In 2003 he won the Sony Music Foundation’s 7th International Oboe Competition of Japan.
