Composer/performer Ney Rosauro draws on his Brazilian folklore to create music full of life and fantasy. The legendary wizard of the percussion world conducts CCOHK in an exhilarating concert of his works showcasing local solo percussionists. Fiona Foo, praised by the critics worldwide for her sensational stage movements and impeccable technique, performs Ney Rosauro’s Marimba Concerto No.1, the most popular marimba concerto of all time. HK Phil’s principal timpanist James Boznos and the award-winning Elise Liu join forces for the Hong Kong premiere of Ney Rosauro’s Double Concerto for Timpani and Marimba. CCOHK salutes the great Villa-Lobos, and to round off the night, Ney Rosauro delivers cool vibes in his Brazilian Suite.

作曲家、演奏家奈·羅薩羅從巴西民間故事取得靈感，創作了生氣勃勃、充滿奇思妙想的音樂作品。這位敲擊樂奇才將會帶領香港城市室樂團及一眾本地敲擊樂好手，為大家帶來一個精彩的音樂會。敲擊樂好手傅貝怡以令人驚艷的舞台動作加上無懈可擊的技巧，廣受世界各地樂評人好評，她將會演奏最受歡迎的馬林巴琴協奏曲–奈·羅薩羅的《馬林巴琴與樂團第一協奏曲》。香港管弦樂團首席定音鼓龐樂思和得獎敲擊樂手廖智敏亦將會攜手為奈·羅薩羅的《為馬林巴琴、定音鼓和樂團而寫的雙協奏曲》作香港首演。此外，香港城市室樂團亦會演奏魏拉–羅伯士的作品，向這位偉大的作曲家致敬。音樂會將會以奈．羅薩羅動人心絃的《巴西組曲》為這個巴西音樂之夜劃上完美的句號。
