Yongyut Tossponapinun, tuba
Yongyut Tossponapinun obtained his Bachelor of Music degree at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand in 1992 and from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1995. He performed as the Principal Tuba of the Asian Youth Orchestra from 1991 to 1995 and toured to Asia, Europe and the USA. He served as principal tuba of the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra from 1989 to1992 and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta from 1995 to 1998. In 1995 he joined the World Philharmonic Orchestra for a special concert marking the King of Thailand’s 50th Coronation Anniversary. Since moving to Hong Kong Yongyut has performed with the Macau Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Hong Kong Wind Philharmonia. He teaches tuba and conducts many local school bands. He joined the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as Principal Tuba in 2003.
