Daria Kovtunova, violin
Daria Kovtunova comes from Russia and started playing the violin at the age of six. She studied violin with Professors Michael Mindlin and Edward Gavrilenkov at the Saratov State Conservatoire. While a student she was the recipient of numerous competitions in Russia, and was selected to lead the Saratov Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra. Upon graduation Daria Kovtunova joined the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed with the West Kazakhstan Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of India and from 2010 to 2013 she was engaged to perform as a tutti violinist with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra in China. She has performed under the batons of many international renowned conductors including Adrian Leaper, Eugenie Bushkov, Johannes Wildner, Muhai Tang and Vladimir Spivakov. On tour she has performed in Germany, Thailand, Kazakhstan, China and the UK.
