Anton Zemlyanichenko, viola
Anton Zemlyanichenko was born in Tolyatti in Central Russia. He studied the violin at the age of six and entered the Tolyatti College of the Arts majoring in viola in 1993. After winning second prize in the International Viola Competition in Moscow, he successfully entered the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory to study with Professor Yuri Bashmet. Anton Zemlyanichenko’s ensemble and solo work since graduation is extensive, and includes performances with the Russian National Orchestra, The Philharmonia of the Nations, the Orchestra of Patras in Greece, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra and the Macao Orchestra. He joined the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as tutti violist in 2015.
